About paracord: Military outfits first used parachute cord, or “para cord,” to suspend parachutists during World War II. Many people since have used para cord for other purposes. It is also referred to as “550 cord,” as it’s designed to hold up to 550 pounds. It’s a common item in survival kits because of its light weight and multiple uses.

In the past, FOHFL has not accepted any donations nor sold any products with plans to continue with sharing stories of hope until I am more physically able to take my vision for “Faces of Hope for Life” to the next level in raising awareness of the need for organ donors. With that said, we have a couple of vendors who have been touched by organ donation and have been kind enough to design products specifically for “Faces of Hope for Life”! The idea for “Faces of Hope for Life” products is to help raise awareness by hopefully sparking a conversation about organ donation when someone asks about the product you are wearing! Any proceeds donated to FOHFL by our vendors will be used to assist with the overhead such as hosting fees for our website, merchandise for contests, and any other miscellaneous expenses.
